Minute with Dr Linet – Appreciation
Appreciation – recognising the qualities of a person. This goes hand in hand with gratitude, recognising qualities you have as a person, everything about yourself which includes the good and bad points. Everyone has flaws which ties in with ego. If you didn’t have ego and appreciate what you have then you wouldn’t be able to go out in public.
It’s also about projection of self and behaviour to others. Sometimes this pushes your buttons and you may not like what you see, but you can appreciate that person and their point of view, even if you have to agree to disagree. Appreciation in the bigger picture of what you can do for that person as to what they have or don’t have when you meet them will help you appreciate the context of that persons situation.
