COURSE DESCRIPTION

We will look at the basic biology of the brain and the chemicals that are affected with addictions as well as the recovery pathway and give suggestions and tools as part of counselling to help the client identify what could help reduce their drug taking. There are 3 sections Tolerance, Withdrawal and Recovery with each section discussing specific aspects as related to the client when presenting for counselling, it includes a self test questionnaire at the end of each one.
